Herban is a lovely vegetarian restaurant located near to Zhongxiao Dunhua, in Taipei, with a big terrace and a great atmosphere. Despite being close to one of Taipei’s most crowded areas, its location in a bit hidden alley eases to relax, like a urban oasis.
The decoration is modern and simple, with wooden tables, some sofas, and touches of green everywhere, even inside the lamps. A perfect spot to relish amazing vegetarian food, even if you are not vegetarian. The menu is quite extensive, with dishes from salads, grilled sandwiches, pasta, to the indispensable brunch options. From all the desserts, I chose the delicious lemon tart (180 NTD).
Even the toilet has awesome details, like drawings hanging on the walls or the tiled floor!
From April 14th to 16th, was celebrated in Taipei another edition of the Taipei In Style fashion fair, at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. The content has been great like in the past editions: exhibitions, seminars, house shows,… and I was there with my Press Pass! Let’s start by Day 1! The second house show was Naif by Hsu Chiu-I:
林忻柔 Shalynn is an 18 years old student in Taipei. I met her at the Songshan Cultural Park, where she was with some friends (who will also star some posts soon). She was wearing a loose white shirt with big pockets on the front and rolled to the elbows, grey skater skirt, and black ankle boots with golden buckle. Along with her inseparable iPhone, her complements were earrings, a necklace, some bracelets, and a black handbag.
Elena is a Russian model who lives in Taipei because she is an university student here. Marina, a Taiwanese friend and makeup artist, introduced us and the three of us headed to the Botanical Garden to do a photo shooting. Elena has a lot of modelling experience, both in Russia and Taiwan. You can see it specially in the close-up photos, where her powerful gaze hypnotises the camera.
In the portraits it is also where you can better appreciate the wonderful makeup styled by Marina, so talented!
For the first set of photos, Elena was wearing a black jacket, a sleeveless orange top, black shorts, tights with vertical pattern, and black shoes. Her complements were long earrings and a long necklace. I love the contrast between the black clothes and the earth tones against the super green background.
Syd is 27 years old and works in the banking industry. I met him at the Songshan Cultural Park, in Taipei. He was wearing a dark green shirt with small white polka dots, beige cropped trousers and brown leather shoes. His complements were a dark brown leather belt and a brown leather briefcase.

Savour Cafe is a nice coffee place in Taipei, just at the cross of Xinyi Rd. and Dunhua S. Rd, with big windows and a quiet atmosphere. It’s not easy to notice from the street because it’s narrow but, once inside, the wooden furniture and the cozy corners invite to enjoy the time there. A perfect spot to spend a rainy afternoon reading a good novel or working on your laptop.
If you are hungry, besides the drinks, there are also some salads, paninis and desserts on the menu. We ordered two hot lattes (140 NTD each) and a delicious toffee banana tart (160 NTD) to share.
Hi and welcome!
After 5 years showing how people dress in Taipei (and everywhere I travel) at Taipei Street Style, I’ve decided that it’s time for a change! Time for a bigger site, with more content besides street style: not only fashion, but also lifestyle, beauty, travel, food…
And to do this, I’ve created The Style Collector! A new space where, through my photos, we can discuss and enjoy all these aspects.
So welcome and enjoy! Stay tuned for new content and remember that you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Bloglovin’ and Twitter!
