Fay is 22 years old and from Macao, but she is studying in Taipei, where I met her.
Fay was wearing a black long cardigan, a black dress, black tights, and black boots with the United Kingdom flag on them that she bought on an American website. Her complements were a black bag and a golden necklace, which she bought in China.
One of the latest trends I have seen in Taipei is about the ankle boots. You can combine them with trousers, skirts or dresses. Some have a countryside appearance or some are for party. With sky heels or with flat heels. Everything is possible!
In the streets and shops of Taipei you can find boots in all colors, materials and styles, but here I show you the most representative ones:
Flat heel boots: perfect for going comfortable on the day to day, if you go walking from one place to another. Despite being flat, these boots can also make you look elegant, specially the fashionable lace-up upper booties with hollow-out detail or the charismatic low heel booties with buckle and studs. The ones with Dr Martens and UGG style would be for more casual outfits.
Dr Martens style UGG style
Mid heel booties: the suede booties with studs are so pretty! I like that they come with side zipper, but the wedge ones with elastic straps are also easy to put on and off. This type of wedge makes the shoe very comfortable!
High heel boots: with this type of heels every outfit turns into a very fashionable one! The black booties with ankle strap are the perfect combination for any situation, and the burgundy ones give the color accent to outfits in basic colors.
What do you think? Which type is your favorite?
I am collaborating with the Spanish blog Yuanfang Magazine. As they use Spanish, here you have another of my articles for them translated into English. You can read the Spanish version here. I hope you like it! 🙂
The UGG boots are unisex boots made of sheepskin double-sided with fleece inside, tanning outside and usually synthetic sole. The origin of this type of boot goes back to Australia or New Zealand long before the existence of the brand registered with this name, even if they were who made them known. And by known I mean that it has been more than ten years ago that they are popular and a basic in the styles of many celebrities.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of this type of boot. I speak only from a subjective point of view, since I’ve never tried it, but certainly I’m not a passionate of their design and some stylistic combinations (such as worn with summer dress), that I do not think they are very stylistic at all.
This introduction is because UGG boots, as other items that are trend, were soon, and continue to be, imitated and forged.
Many Taiwanese girls like this kind of boot, but not everyone wants or can afford to buy a real UGG, whose price is usually from $135. Thus, although there is an official store and several shopping centers where you can buy them in Taipei, imitations are also a star product in shoe stores and night markets.
In Taiwan, the fakes are not allowed, but the imitations yes. This makes that the designs or the prints of the imitations sometimes are totally different from the real ones. From boots in other colors to boots with stars, rhinestones and studs. Here you have some examples seen in the streets and markets of Taipei:

Yume was with her friend (who will also star a post soon) walking by the streets of Osaka, where I met her.
She was wearing a wide dark sweater with a picture of the group KISS, a skirt with black and white thin stripes, and black boots. Yume’s complements were a black backpack, a Canon camera, and a transparent umbrella.
Lucas and Augusta were walking their lovely dog, Sanna, in the Gracia district, in Barcelona, when I met them. At that time, Augusta was pregnant, I hope everything is going well and that they will have a beautiful and healthy child! 🙂
Lucas was wearing a gray jacket in herringbone, a blue navy winter cardigan with brown buttons, a white shirt with blue stripes, a brown leather belt, jeans, and light brown boots. No complements.
Augusta was wearing a long yellow winter cardigan, a blue dress with white polka dots, black tights, and black booties. Her only complement was a long black scarf.
