Whole tights that seem half tights

I am collaborating with the Spanish blog Yuanfang Magazine. As they use Spanish, here you have another of my articles for them translated into English. You can read the Spanish version here. I hope you like it! 🙂

WHOLE TIGHTS THAT SEEM HALF TIGHTS

Today I come to talk about tights, because when you think that in the world of tights everything is seen and invented, always can appear another element that surprises you.

In Taiwan, many girls like to show off legs, even when it starts to get cold. Tights become an indispensable complement either with shorts or skirt. It’s easy to find shops specializing in tights, socks and others, both in malls and night markets, and with very affordable prices and various offers.

One of the latest trends seen on the street is a type of tight that simulates the effect of wearing knee socks, a typical image of schoolgirls. But there is not only the “normal” black and transparent model, but an infinite variety to choose from. From whole prints (stars, skeleton) to detail only in the part where the black and the transparent bind: the most common are cats, bears and hearts, but we can also find skulls, angry birds and even iconic buildings in the world.

What do you think? I’ve been looking at sites of Spanish stores to see if they offer this type of tights, but I think it is still not very common. But don’t worry, I’m sure that this trend will arrive soon.

Meanwhile there are videos on Youtube about how to make your own using old socks, such as this one.

Ethnic print

This smiling girl is é™³å®¶ç¿Š (Chén Jiā Yì), and I met her on a sunny day in the Shida night market.

She was wearing a shirt with floral print buttoned to the top, a dress with ethnic print, a denim shirt, dark tights, printed large socks, and brown boots. Her complements were a dark brown hat, colourful necklace and bracelets, and a big black leather envelope purse.

Jasmine and Ina were walking by Shida Road on a beautiful afternoon when I met them.

Jasmine, on the left, was wearing a black dress with puffed sleeves and with the buttons and the neck trim in golden colour, black tights and black brogues. Her complements, a bag also in black, a bracelet and a watch.

Ina, on the right, was wearing a denim shirt with the shirt cuffs and a part of the shoulders in brown leather, black shorts, black tights and black Converse. Her complements, a brown leather belt, black-rimmed glasses and black backpack.

Florence the Amazon

Florence was walking near Zhongxiao Dunhua and I thought Florence’s style was very feminine, but she also has strength.

She is wearing a wide polo neck brown jumper tied at the waist, over these original tights (I think she wears jean shorts under the sweater) and black boots. As small complements, a ring and a white watch. In Florence’s head, a black hat, and hanging on her arm, an orange purse, giving the touch of colour.

Elegant faux fur

Tamiko is a Japanese girl that I met in Philippines and I was lucky that she was able to come and meet me in Osaka on my last trip to Japan, it’s a small world! =)

On that occasion, she was wearing a beautiful print dress, with black tights and black ankle boots with a little bit of faux fur on the back. And to add a touch of elegance, she is wearing this magnificent faux fur collar in light brown.

Tamiko, I hope to meet you again very soon! 🙂
