Today, it is a pleasure for me to announce that I will collaborate as a writer with the Spanish online blog Yuanfang Magazine. Their idea is to introduce Taiwan to Spanish-speaking people through different sections: politics, economy, travel, business, trends, etc. Besides their blog, you can check their Facebook page and/or their Twitter.
My section is called: here.As they use Spanish, I will translate my articles into English for my blog, as for example my first article introducing the new section. You can read the Spanish version
TODAY WE TALK ABOUT: 时尚 大师 (The Vogue Guru)
Today we introduce a new section: 时尚 大师 (The Vogue Guru), that each month will bring the fashion, trends and style that roam the streets of Taiwan.
My name is Gemma, I am Spanish and I have been in Taiwan for more than two years. In late 2011 I started a blog, Taipei Street Style, about how people dress in the street and, thanks to it, I held on my love for fashion, street or not.
Taipei, as capital and representative of Taiwan, is a city in constant motion. A large part of its population are young students and / or workers, from Taipei or other populations, and very good consumers. The Taiwanese people are current of fashion, new technologies, art and culture in general. They like to shop and follow trends mainly from Japan and the United States. They are open-minded and do not prejudge people by their appearance, so here it is very easy to feel free and dare to experiment with fashion and different styles.
In this new section that we present today, we will be talking about street fashion and new trends that are appearing, not only of clothes, but also of several other things, such as cosmetics. And to end, I would like to say that here, the “guru” it will not be just me, but you, the readers, can also participate by sending me your opinions and suggestions.Welcome!
