Summer pineapple bag

Whenever it’s cold, I always think of warm places, holidays on the beach, dozing next to a swimming pool, and, of course, summer outfits! Kind of wishful thinking, I know!

On top of that, I just received this awesome pineapple bag, so, inevitably, I started imagining summer outfits with this bag as the star of the stylings. As it’s still pretty cold in Taipei, I prepared two sets, perfect for the summer. Which one of these do you like the most?

summer 1

  1. Pineapple bag                  2. Top                                              3. Jeans                        4. Flats

For my first set, I combined a white off-shoulder top, ripped jeans and black ballet flats that give a relaxed feeling to the outfit but perfect for a shopping day, for example.

summer 2

  1. Pineapple bag                 2. Jumpsuit   3. Sandals                                4. Hat

For my second set, a black sleeveless long jumpsuit (you know I love them!), black high thick heel sandals with ankle strap, and a black and white straw hat. Simple but elegant, perfect for a cocktail in the evening on the rooftop or by the pool.

Faux fur coat

Hi there! How are you doing? Taipei’s weather has been extremely cold and rainy for the past weeks, so I didn’t hesitate for a moment in choosing this faux fur coat as my new outer garment to help to keep me warm! Faux fur was one of the major trends last winter, and it is terribly fashionable again this year. I’ve been wanting to get a faux fur garment for a long time, but I couldn’t find one that I liked 100% until I set eyes on this coat!

So, as soon as the rain gave us a break, I went out to take these photos wearing my new green coat. It seems I’m getting more and more into posing as a model!

To make the coat the centre of attention, I styled it with a black shirt with Mao neck, black leggings with faux leather on the front from Mango, and burgundy leather pumps from Clarks.

As for the complements, the earrings are from a local jewelry in Spain, the Casio watch is a gift, and I bought the black purse in one of my trips to Japan.

I want to thank my hubby for taking these photos! We live in a traditional neighborhood, with plenty of picturesque locations in the quiet and narrow alleys, perfect for our next shootings!

Stripped jumpsuit

Hi there! As I stated before, I’m trying to be less shy in front of the camera. So here you have another post with me as a model, I hope you like the photos! 🙂 Those who know me know that I prefer summer rather than winter, despite Taiwan’s summer can be very hot, humid and sweaty. Now it’s October and the weather is changing very fast, hot one day and rainy for a whole week. One of these summerish days, feeling this good weather might not last long, I decided to wear a jumpsuit. It’s easy to style and a very comfortable option!

This blue and white stripped jumpsuit is from Zara, it’s loose but tight at the waist so, along with the vertical stripes, favors the silhouette. The back is what I love the most of it! I combined it with brown high heeled sandals from H&M, very easy to wear thanks to the wide heel.

As for the complements, the white sunglasses are from Forever 21, big and perfect for summer looks. I got the pearl earrings on my first trip to Philippines, in a small island near Cebu. And the Casio watch is a gift.

I want to thank my hubby for taking these photos! We saw this graffiti wall near Boven and we both thought it would be a great contrast with the stripes of the jumpsuit. I really like walking around that area, there is always something new to discover!

CECI A/W 17

A few days ago, CECI celebrated the launch party for the Autumn Winter 17 collection, which I had the pleasure to attend. Cecilia Chang is the apparel and jewelry designer behind the brand, founded in New York in 2014.

The event was celebrated at the showroom, in the center of Taipei, and it was a blast! They were very nice, explaining the idea behind each piece and helping people to try any garment they desired.

About the collection, called “Stateless Vagabonds”, it follows an urban nomad attitude and it’s inspired by the Tuareg spirit. The pieces have different layers, volumes and lengths, lazy silhouettes that change with each movement you do. The collection uses fabrics like wool, for protection, and denim, to have a rough feeling; materials like faux fur to create volume, Using a limited palette of colors, mainly black, blue and grey, it’s possible to combine different garments creating a new outfit each time.

What do you think of this collection? You can check CECI’S official website to know more about the brand. CECI will present its Spring Summer 18 collection at the Taipei In Style fashion fair, can’t wait to see it!

Ole Tapas Bar is a Spanish restaurant and bar in Taipei. Previously located in the Shilin MRT area, a few months ago moved to the downtown, near Xinyi Anhe MRT, very easy to spot in a not-so-hidden alley thanks to its luminous sign and the outside fence painted with the Spanish flag. The interior is simply decorated with a few Spanish motifs, like posters or a Spanish map painted on the wall, creating a warm atmosphere.

Its friendly chef and owner, Alain, comes from a French and Spanish family, making a singular mix from two very rich cultures, at least talking about gastronomy, and creating his own unique signature in each dish. He goes to the local market every night, after closing the restaurant, selecting the freshest ingredients by himself. Because of that, the menu changes everyday, rotating the selected dishes and making you want to try everything. The available dishes are posted on the wall, both in English and Chinese.

On this occasion, we tried the whisky shrimps (280 TWD), the clams with white wine sauce (280 TWD), the St. Pierre fish with French mustard (2 pieces for 200 TWD), the skewed piquillo with boletus (200 TWD), eggplant with black sugar cane and a few more. To drink, a good Spanish DO Rioja red wine from their wine collection.
